When you buy a new television, the package normally contains a TV bracket with instructions and tools on installing it. TV wall brackets are being pushed actively by TV as the best accessories to use when viewing a Plasma or LCD TV Flat Panel screen. It is part of the customer service to ensure customers get the optimum viewing enjoyment from their TV. Once you bring home your Plasma TV, go through the packages and look for the packages related to the wall mount. There should be a package containing the hardware, tools and instruction manual. There are various kinds of TV brackets and the contents in the package may vary slightly depending on the model and type provided with your purchase.
Go through the package and sort out the items. Before doing any actual installation, read through the instruction booklet and visualize how you will assemble the TV wall bracket, install it on the wall and hang the television on the wall brackets. Don't assume that all the parts and tools you need are in the package. Although the company tries their best to ensure customer satisfactions, there may be rare instances that they lack parts or tools in the packages. Sometimes, the parts or tools may be the wrong size and not for the specific TV wall bracket contained in the package. There should normally be two horizontal supports and two wall angle modules. There should be eight pieces of 5/16 inch hex nuts and bolts, and about 16 pieces of lock washes. Although the sizes may differ based on the type and model of the TV bracket, they should be consistent with the instruction manual and the quantity should be accounted for. The package should also contain an Allan wrench and an open-end wrench. These are the basic tools that may be also contained in the package. The tools in the package are not elegant and sophisticated but will suffice to get the job done.
Plasma Tv Brackets
There are other tools you will need to install the TV wall bracket on the wall. The TV manufacturer and dealer will not provide these as it will depend on the type of wall you plan to install your TV brackets onto. You will need an electric drill with wood, masonry or steel bits depending on the type of wall you are drilling into. You might also need an extension cord if your electrical outlets are far from the place you will be drilling the holes. Other tools you might need are a level, stud finder, hammer, flat screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver and a socket set. Concrete anchors are needed if you will screw the TV brackets into a concrete wall. A level is a "must have" if you want the LCD wall brackets to be straight and level. The level is a device that helps you determine the holes are straight. Without this vital tool, there is a strong possibility that your wall brackets will be lopsided and uneven. Some of these recommended tools might not be needed at all but it's better to be safe and have the standard tools handy in case something comes up requiring its use.
Choose the area on the wall carefully. Use the stud finder to make sure there are studs behind the wall to secure the wall brackets firmly in place. If you plan to install the TV bracket onto a concrete wall, studs might not be needed at all. Make sure the concrete wall is solid and has no gaps. Construction workers sometimes rush through the cementing of walls and leave gaps; i.e., areas not completely filled with cement. If the gaps are few, it will not affect the foundation too much but you might chance upon a gap when looking for the ideal location of your LCD TV.
