This is a very substantial mount with Dual arms and heavy gauge steel. The arms extend over 20" from the wall yet fold to less than 4.25". Even at full extension, this mount has very little sag or twist.
It is rated for up to 165lbs and most displays 65" and smaller weigh under 100lbs.
The unit has dual tilt adjustment knobs and it will tilt forward or back 15 degrees. The wall plate is 27.5" wide and has wide slots making it easy to mount into standard 16" studs even if they are not exactly 16" apart.
The universal design will fit any display with a hole pattern up to 26.3" wide and 17" tall. The wall plate is 1/8" thick and very stable and includes large center hole for cable pass-though into the wall. Plasma vs LCD vs LED TVs - Differences Explained

In the last 10 years, a multitude of new flat-screen TV technology have been commercialised, all with excellent improvements over past technology. The fast advancement in technology has left a lot of us behind, as most of us don't hold degrees in electronics. So what are the key differences between these new TVs?

These are the oldest of the new flat-screens. They came around at about the same time as LCD TV, but they were much cheaper for their size, which is why they were more popular upon introduction. Plasma screens use a gas, which turns into a plasma when an electrical current is passed through them, emitting light.

Plasma pros:

- Cheaper compared with other flat-screens for the same size.

- Generally better, more realistic colour than LCD TVs.

- Deeper blacks and higher contract ratio than LCD TVs.

- Do not suffer from motion blur. Plasma screens have fast refresh rates, so moving objects appear less blurred.

- Wider viewing angle than LCD TVs.

Plasma cons:

- Less lifespan than other flat-screens. Plasmas are predicted to last 10-15 years, whereas LCD TVs will last twice that or more.

- Plasma uses much more power to run.

- Do not come in all sizes (they do not come in small sizes, and only come in a few set sizes, e.g. 42 inch, 50 inch, 60 inch.).

- Usually a little thicker, and much heavier than the others.

- Is more susceptible to reflection glare in bright rooms.

LCD TV

LCD panels first came to existence in the form of computer monitors. The technology itself has been around for many years. It is the same basic technology as the screen on a pocket calculator. LCD TV generally refers to a florescent backlit LCD TV. This is not to be confused with the newer LED TV, which is technically still an LCD TV except with LED backlit technology.

Advantages:

- Better lifespan than plasma screens. Predicted lifespan of 30+ years is possible.

- LCD screens use less power than plasma, but more than LED TV.

- Comes in many sizes, from computer screens to 60+ inch displays.

- Lighter than a plasma, hence easier to mount on the wall.

- While prices for LCD TV have been higher than plasma, it is falling quickly with increased production.

Disadvantages:

- Worst panel in terms of performance: lowest contrast level and slow (motion blur possible).

- Narrower viewing angle, with slight colour shifting possible for any particular viewer.

LED TV

LED TV is technically actually LCD, but backlit with LEDs rather than fluorescent light source/s. This technology is the next generation in LCD screens.

Differences between LED backlit and current LCD technology:

- LED backlit produces much greater dynamic contrast owing to its direct backlighting.

- LED TVs can be made extremely thin, down to around an inch thick.

- LED TVs consume the least power out of all three screen types.

- LED TVs currently cost much more than LCD, but the prices are expected to fall dramatically as production increases.

- LED TVs are considered to be the most reliable out of all current flat-screen systems.

The AS3S is a tri-shelf cable management system. It can be used with or without a Plasma/LCD mount. This unit is designed to fit under your display and provide an on wall solution for other components such as cable boxes, DVD players, game consoles, and stereo components. There are three 2.25-Inch holes on the aluminum plate that allow you to cleanly run your cables up to your TV or down to another component, as well as out the bottom to an outlet. After reviewing our competition we realized that most shelving units need to be mounted directly into a wall stud. In most cases the wall stud is placed to the right or to the left of the display, which is not where most people prefer to have their shelves mounted. This is still the most secure option however, after significant research we’ve found that using the correct toggle bolts can allow you to mount your shelving unit wherever you see fit. With the combination of four of these toggle bolts the shelving unit is able to hold well over 70LBS safely. Each individual toggle bolt provides 75LBS of support. Please note that a good toggle bolt is still only as good as the quality of the drywall it is mounted into. If you have water damage or .25-Inch drywall please add a support for your shelving unit.

This is a very substantial mount with Dual arms and heavy guage steel. The arms extend over 20-Inch from the wall yet fold to less than 5-Inch. Even at full extension, this mount has very little sag or twist. It is rated for up to 165lbs and most displays 55-Inch and smaller weigh under 100lbs. The unit has dual tilt adjustment knobs and it will tilt forward or back 15 degrees. The wall plate is 19-Inch wide and has wide slots making it easy to mount into standard 16-Inch studs even if they are not exactly 16-Inch apart. Thus, the arms may be visible on the sides of 32-Inch units. The universal design will fit any display with a hole pattern up to 26.3-Inch wide and 18-Inch tall. The wall plate is 1/8-Inch thick and very stable and includes a large center hole for cable pass-though into the wall. This mount will swivel approximately 150 degrees depending on the size of your display. Dual TV locking screws are included to prevent accidental liftoff of the display.
