Most of us have LCD TVs at home, even if we don't know that this is their name. One drawback of having this TV type is the fact that it doesn't have a rapid pixel response time, meaning that it has quite a lag when it comes to faster moving objects on the screen. You can actually see this lag with the naked eye and some people find it quite annoying. Of course, nowadays manufacturers have made many improvements that diminish this flaw, however these improvements are really noticed on screens up to 35 inches. When you have a higher display television, the lag is there. Also another problem some people noticed is that the black is not truly black on these displays. It is more of a darker gray. And finally, the price is quite high when you want to buy one of these sets. The bigger the screen, the more it will cost you.

Still, with all these disadvantages, the LCD TV is very popular with most people who have a TV set at home. First of all it is quite easy to watch as it gives more options for fine tuning than the CRT type. Brightness and contrast settings are quite easy to adjust and this makes watching television under various lighting conditions a breeze. Also with this type you won't experience any glare. And finally image burn-in is no longer an issue.
Not only that but it is multifunctional in nature, as you can also use it as a home video player or even a computer monitor. Alternatively if you don't want to watch anything just relax with some good music, you can change the settings to radio and get any stations that are transmitting on those frequencies at the time. You can find many screen sizes that should easily fit within any living room decor. Starting from 13" to 65" and at times even up to 100", you won't have to worry about getting a size that won't fit on the already existing TV-stand on your mantelpiece.
